Accessibility Statement

Kronus Instruments is committed to making its public website and the Kronus Web portal usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement applies to the website and portal at kronusinstruments.com.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The public website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the content conforms, and the exceptions are listed below. The authenticated portal is under active development and is being brought to the same standard.

What we do

• Every public page is checked in our automated test suite with axe-core, and any serious or critical finding fails the build.
• Pages use a single H1, a logical heading order, landmark regions and descriptive link text.
• Interactive controls are keyboard operable, have visible focus states and accessible names; the consent dialog traps focus and closes with Escape.
• Form fields carry programmatic labels, and error messages are announced to assistive technology.
• Motion is limited and respects the operating system's reduced-motion preference where animation is used.

Known limitations

• Colour contrast is verified manually rather than by the automated suite, because our test renderer does not compute layout. Some decorative captions in muted grey on dark panels may fall below the 4.5:1 ratio; we are auditing these.
• Portal data visualisations (corrosion heat maps, trend charts and 3D LiDAR scans) are inherently visual. Tabular exports (CSV, PDF) of the same data are available from each project, but the charts themselves do not yet have complete text alternatives.
• Embedded maps from third-party providers may not be fully keyboard operable.
• Marketing imagery uses short alternative text derived from the section heading; some images are decorative and are being marked as such.
• Generated PDF reports are not yet tagged PDFs. Structured DOCX export is available as an alternative.

Technical information

The site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript to conform. It is tested with current versions of Safari with VoiceOver, Chrome with NVDA, and keyboard-only navigation. This statement was last reviewed in September 2026.
